Metuchen Man Pulled From Surf In Asbury Park Gets Combative With Rescuers: Report Says
Rescue took place between Sunset and Sixth avenues, official says

ASBURY PARK - A 32-year-old Metuchen man grew "combative" after firefighters pulled him our of the ocean Wednesday night, according to a report in app.com.
Firefighters had responded to a 9:30 p.m. call of a swimmer in distress near the Fifth Avenue, Fire Official Garrett Giberson said.
When they located the man between Sunset and Sixth avenues, Fire Capt. Mike Disbrow entered the waist-deep water and pulled him out.

After he was rescued, the man became combative and was taken into custody, Giberson said.
