Monmouth County Beach Report: The Rip Current Risk Remains High For Today
Skies will be sunny, but most beaches are not guarded this late in the season

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies today on Monmouth County beaches, but the rip current risk remains high.
Hurricane Jose may have moved up into the New England area, but will still impact beaches on the Jersey Shore for the next several days.
A high risk of rip currents means dangerous and potentially life-threatening conditions exist for anyone who goes swimming.

"People visiting the beaches should stay out of the high surf," the NWS says.
Most New Jersey beaches are unguarded this late in the season. A man and a woman who did go swimming yesterday at an Asbury Park beach had to be rescued by local firefighters. The woman was in critical condition and had to be revived.
