Monmouth County Beach Report: Sunny Skies, But High Rip Current Risk Continues
Waves will be from 3 to 4 feet high, with southeasterly swells of 3 feet.

The National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies today, but a high risk of rip currents remains.
The high risk of rip currents means dangerous and life-threatening conditions exist for anyone who enters the water. No one should be swimming today.
"People visiting the beaches should stay out of the high surf," the NWS says.

Waves will be 3 to 4 feet high, with southeasterly swells of around 3 feet. The ocean water temperature continues to drop at 70 degrees.
Keep in mind that most beaches have no lifeguards after Labor Day. There are still some beaches, especially in Ocean County, that are still guarded. Click here to find out where they are.

Never swim on an unguarded beach, and never swim alone or at night. Too many people have died on Jersey Shore beaches this summer.
Skies will become partly sunny this afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 70s.
The ultraviolet index is a 6, which the NWS considers high. There is no lightning threat. Winds will be from the north at 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
High tide at Belmar will roll in at 10:54 a.m. Low tide will arrive at 5:04 p.m., followed by another high tide at 11:15 p.m.
