Monmouth County Beach Report: Sunny Skies, But High Rip Current Risk On Tap For Today
National Weather Service is calling waves of 6 to 8 feet.

Skies today on Monmouth County beaches will be sunny, but waves of 6 to 8 feet are expected, the National Weather Service says.
"Dangerous and potentially life-threatening conditions exist for all people entering the surf," the NWS says.
Waves of 6 to 8 feet are expected, with southeast swells of 6 to 7 feet, thanks to Tropical Storm Maria, which is still hovering east in the Atlantic Ocean. The ocean water temperature is 72 degrees.
