801 Craft Kitchen Opens In Belmar, From Beach Haus Brewery Owners

BELMAR, NJ — The owners of Beach Haus Brewery opened a new restaurant this summer in Belmar:

801 Craft Kitchen & Spirits is located at 801 Main St. in Belmar, right next to Beach Haus Brewery. They had a soft opening July 1. 801 will start offering happy hour appetizer/drink specials in the next couple weeks, and also plans to open a much-anticipated rooftop bar/lounge.

The rooftop bar and lounge is under its final weeks of construction and is expected to be open by the end of August, said Beach Haus owners.

With a hot new restaurant located right next door to Beach Haus Brewery, that stretch of Main Street in Belmar will become "a hub for exceptional food drinks, and atmosphere," say the Beach Haus owners.

801 Craft Kitchen serves "casual yet elegant contemporary American fare with a locally sourced and inspired craft beer and cocktail program."

"From conception, the 801 Craft Kitchen team set out to build an enchanting and stimulating environment that will consistently 'wow' guests from entry to exit," said the restaurant. "The beautiful bar area surrounds their open kitchen, allowing guests a front row seat to all the meal prep action. For a more immersive experience, book the chef’s table adjacent to the kitchen."

801 serves seasonally inspired dishes such as prosciutto & brûléed peaches flatbread, vegetarian empanadas with fire-roasted corn, black beans and pepper crema and desserts like Lavender Creme Brûlée. The head chef is Rob Tuzeneu.

“My personal favorite right now is the flatbread — it’s prosciutto, roasted peaches, arugula and garlic-ricotta cheese topped with balsamic glaze and is just amazing,” said 801 partner Dylan Kohan. “Also really popular is our rib eye — there are great steakhouses all over, but I feel our chef has his own technique and the way he treats everything is unique.”

Hours/only open for dinner four nights a week: 5 to 11 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, 5 to 8 p.m. Sundays
