MANASQUAN – Reduced staffing could cause changes in how emergency calls are handled in Manasquan.

Because of the coronavirus outbreak, Hackensack Meridian Health's JFK emergency personnel may be responding to emergency medical calls in Manasquan and Sea Girt during periods of reduced volunteer staffing.

The ambulance will be staged locally and will be staffed with state certified EMTs and/or paramedics, and will provide a prompt response when called for service, officials said.

The ambulances are clearly marked "Hackensack Meridian Health Emergency Medical Services" on all sides.

Patients treated and/or transported to the hospital will receive a bill from Hackensack Meridian Health that should be submitted to their insurance carrier for payment.
