SEE: Amazing Belmar Drone Footage Of Beach After Blizzard, Floods

A bird's eye view of how Belmar held up during the weekend's flooding.

Belmar Mayor Matt Doherty posted drone footage that was shot following the weekend’s blizzard and high coastal tides.

It shows an aerial view of dunes on the city’s beach. Doherty said there was one breach but no flooding.

“Our preparation paid off.”

Many coastal New Jersey towns were hit with flooding following a blizzard that had dumped 20 inches of snow on Belmar as of Sunday morning.

But the dunes largely held up on Belmar’s beaches and the city was spared from flooding that still lingered Sunday morning in places like Manasquan.

“Belmar is in great shape this morning!,” Doherty said earlier Sunday. “It pays to prepare. Now we shovel snow...and sled with kids.”
