Here’s Why Bailey Was Shouted Out As A Manchester Star Student
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who's having an impact in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Angelique Rivera, who nominated her younger sister, Bailey, of Manchester.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Bailey has achieved so much in the last year. Within the last year she was diagnosed with severe dyslexia and struggled in elementary school with academics. Since the diagnosis and with the support of school staff, Bailey, who's a sixth grader, has blossomed and is now an Honor Roll student. She also loves gymnastics and is a Girl Scout Cadette. She collected metal tabs from soda cans and donated them to Ronald McDonald House. This past year she collected 6 gallon-sized Ziploc bags of tabs.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
She is a bright, smart, funny young lady who strives to be her very best.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Bailey!
