Snow Leads To Delayed Opening For Manchester Schools

MANCHESTER, NJ — Students and staff in the Manchester Township School District will get to sleep a little later on Monday as the district has declared a delayed opening due to Sunday's snowfall.

The 90-minute delayed opening means all before-school activities and the morning Y-Kids program are canceled.

Manchester received 8.1 inches of snow from the storm that moved through New Jersey late Saturday into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm began with rain and has left icy conditions in its wake. The district said the resulting hazardous road conditions prompted the decision to delay the opening.

  • Manchester Township High School, 8:40 a.m.
  • Manchester Township Middle School, 9:09 a.m.
  • Manchester Township Elementary (PreK-5), 10:15 a.m.
  • Ridgeway Elementary (PreK-5), 9:45 a.m.
  • Whiting Elementary (PreK-5), 10:15 a.m.
  • Regional Day School, 10:15 a.m.
