Manchester Woman Dies After 4-Vehicle Crash On Route 537, Police Say
The woman was flown to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries, police said.
FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Manchester Township woman has died following a four-vehicle crash in Freehold Township, police in the Monmouth County town said Thursday.
The name of the woman, a 73-year-old Whiting resident, has not been released.
The crash at the intersection of Monmouth Road — Route 537 — and Siloam Road was reported at 9:38 a.m. Wednesday, Freehold Township Detective Lt. Joseph Winowski said.

Police found the woman entrapped in one of the vehicles and severely injured. She was removed and flown to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, Winowski said.
Patrolman William Sabin and the Freehold Township Police Department Serious Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Sabin at 732-462-7908.
