Powerball Ticket Worth $500K Sold In NJ

The ticket purchased in Ocean County won the second-tier prize in the Powerball Double Play drawing.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A Powerball ticket worth $500,000 was sold in Ocean County, New Jersey Lottery officials said.

The ticket was for the Double Play drawing on Saturday, Jan. 10, lottery officials said.

The Double Play is a separate option that Powerball players can choose when they buy their tickets. It allows players a second chance to match their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing after the main Powerball drawing and has a top cash prize of $10 million.

Powerball tickets with the Double Play added can win prizes in both drawings.

The Double Play winner was purchased at the Quick Chek at 3001 Ridgeway Road in Manchester. It matched all five white balls in the Double Play drawing; those winning numbers were 10, 19, 39, 47 and 67; the Double Play ball was 18.

In the main Powerball drawing on Saturday, the winning numbers were 05, 19, 21, 28, and 64. The Power Ball was 14, and the multiplier was 03. One New Jersey ticket matched four white balls and the Power Ball to win $50,000, but lottery officials have not said where that ticket was sold.
