She 'Wants To Create Change': Josephine, Manchester Star Student
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who's having an impact in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Ashley Hoover, who nominated Josephine. Josephine lives in Manchester, and Hoover knows her through Girl Scouts.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
She is an extremely bright young lady. She strives for knowledge not only in the classroom but seeks it as well in the world around her. She is in honors classes and helps her classmates as well. Josie also is a Girl Scout Cadette who has helped collect donations of hats, gloves, and socks for JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River, and has participated in creating care packages of toiletries and simple necessities for JBJ Soul Kitchen as well. She wants to create change within her community.
Josie also plays piano, drums and is on the dance team at Denise Danielle Dance Center in Brick. She is an amazing young lady always thinking of her family, friends and community members.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Her compassion for the world around her helps her strive to be her very best.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Josephine!
