SUV Runs Stop Sign, Flips As 3-Vehicle Crash Injures 2 People In Ocean County
A 28-year-old man and a teen driver were injured; the teen and a 5-month-old baby, who was not hurt, were taken to hospitals, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — Three people, including a teenager and an infant, were taken to hospitals following a three-vehicle crash that happened when one vehicle ran a stop sign, Manchester police said.
The crash on Commonwealth Boulevard at Bismarck Street was reported at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday, Capt. Albert Vega said.
A teenage driver in a white 2017 Chevrolet Equinox was driving north on Bismarck Street toward Commonwealth Boulevard, and drove through the stop sign at Commonwealth, hitting a blue 2021 Honda Accord, police said.

The Honda Accord, driven by Adan Espinal, 28, of Manchester, was headed west on Commonwealth when it hit the passenger side of the Chevrolet, Vega said. The Accord, which turned 45 degrees and came to a rest in the intersection, sustained significant front-end damage, he said.
Espinal was taken to Community Medical Center with minor injuries, Vega said.

The Chevrolet kept going and went airborne, hitting a gray 2005 Honda Civic that was stopped on Bismarck Street that was stopped at the stop sign, he said, before the Chevrolet came to a rest on its roof. The Civic ended up with signiificant front-end damage.
The driver of the Honda Civic, Jacob Lob, 36, of Manchester, was not injured, Vega said.
The Chevrolet ended up on its roof, and the teen driving it suffered minor injuries, Vega said. A 5-month-old infant who was in the back seat of the Chevrolet was not injured, but both were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, he said.
The road was closed for more than an hour during the investigation and cleanup.
Assisting at the scene were EMTs from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, Hatzolah, firefighters from the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department, Manchester Volunteer Fire Department and Robert Wood Johnson paramedics.
Patrolman Sage Sysol of the department’s Traffic Safety Section is investigating.
