Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?:
Yes

What does the nominee do for work?:
5th-grade teacher at Ridgeway Elementary School

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
She works diligently from home guiding her students through their lessons prepared by her. She also oversees her two children, ages 8 and 10 through their daily lessons. I am self-isolating due to underlying health issues. She manages each week to do my shopping and delivers it to me. She calls each day to check on me. She set up Facetime with my other daughter in Florida so the three of us could virtually be together and I can interact with my grandchildren. That's what I miss the most ... hugging and kissing my grandchildren. Ginny is a great wife and mom every day of the year. She misses her fifth-graders and possibly not being able to see them before they leave Ridgeway and move onto intermediate school. Ginny is a wonderful daughter, mom and wife and MY HERO!

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Her kindness and love of her teaching profession.
