7-Eleven Employee Charged With Manslaughter Of Somerset County Man

The employee and the Manville man got into a physical fight early on Tuesday morning, said authorities.

MANVILLE, NJ — A 7-Eleven employee was charged in connection with the death of a Manville man on Tuesday.

Taiwan Sanders-Boyd, 29, of New Brunswick, was charged with second-degree reckless manslaughter, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

On Tuesday at around 1:40 a.m., the New Brunswick Police Department got a 911 call requesting medical assistance at a 7-Eleven on George Street.

Authorities found Markeem Moore, 44, of Manville, who was unresponsive. Moore was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead, said Ciccone.

An investigation led by Detective Keith Walcott of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Olivia Ankudowicz of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that a physical altercation had occurred between Moore and a store employee, Sanders-Boyd.

Boyd was arrested. He is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a Pre-Trial detention hearing.
