MANVILLE, NJ — Christopher Basista and Stefanie Sanchez are deeply rooted in Manville and committed to addressing the issues that matter most to residents.

They are running to restore efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness to Borough government. They are focused on addressing both the day-to-day concerns of Manville families as well as the long-standing challenges like flooding, staffing shortages, and rising property taxes.

Chris Basista, a fourth-generation Manville resident, holds a master’s degree in business administration and has built a career in online marketing and media. In 2024, he founded Manville.Today, a nonpartisan online platform that keeps residents informed about Borough Council actions and community developments. His experience in entrepreneurship and civic engagement positions him to bring transparency and innovation to local government.

Stefanie Sanchez, a third-generation Manville resident, is an instructional design consultant with a background in music education. Her work developing virtual learning modules reflects her strengths in research, communication, and collaboration — skills she’s ready to apply to Borough operations and community outreach.

If elected, Basista and Sanchez will work to hire qualified staff to fill vacant Borough positions, prioritize taxpayer concerns in budget planning, collaborate with departments like Public Works and Police to improve service delivery, and advocate for practical solutions to flooding and infrastructure issues.
