Meet Sharon Lukac – Manville School Board Candidate 2025
Candidate Sharon Lukac shares why she is running for Manville Board of Education.

MANVILLE, NJ — Hi, I’m Sharon Lukac, and I’m honored to be running for re-election to the Manville Board of Education.
For the past 12 years, I’ve proudly served our community as a dedicated School Board Member, working every day to make Manville schools stronger, safer, and more supportive for our students and staff.
During my time on the Board, I’ve served on every committee and currently chair the Policy Committee. I’ve also fought for and secured additional state funding in Trenton to ensure our students receive the resources they deserve.

As a 22-year resident of Manville, I’ve always believed that education is the heart of a strong community. I’ve been deeply involved in our schools — as a former PTA President, Secretary, and longtime volunteer in every school building.
I’ve also supported our students through the MHS Music Organization’s “Snack Shack”, and I’m proud to give back to the broader community as a VFW Auxiliary member and Friday Night Dinner waitress at Manville VFW Post #2290, as well as a member of the Somerville Elks Lodge #1068 and Secretary of the Manville Senior Citizens Organization for the past three years.

Most importantly, I’m the proud mother of three Manville High School graduates, and I’ve seen firsthand the difference that a strong, caring school district can make in a child’s life.
Why I’m Running
I’m running for re-election because I believe every child in Manville deserves a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment — one that prepares them not just for graduation, but for success in life.
If re-elected, I’ll continue to:
- Support our teachers with the tools and respect they need to help every student thrive
- Strengthening communication between the Board, families, and the community
- Make responsible, student-centered decisions that keep our schools moving forward
On Election Day, vote Sharon Lukac — for experience that matters and a future that puts our kids first.
