State Assembly (2 seats):
- 28th Dist. (Essex/Union): Frank McGehee from Maplewood, Garnet Hall from Maplewood, and Cleopatra Tucker From Newark are all running to be the two Democratic nominees to face two Republicans in November.
Frank McGehee (D): 3,300

Cleopatra Tucker (D): 6,240
- Republican opponents Joy Freeman and Willie Jetti from Newark are uncontested in the primary.
Maplewood (Essex) (2 Township Committee seats):
Committeeman Vic DeLuca (D) is up for re-election Nov. 7. Mayor Dean Dafis is up for re-election to Township Committee Nov. 7. They are uncontested in the primary, but here are the numbers:
Dean Dafis (D): 2,267
Vic DeLuca (D): 2,332
While they don't face opposition in the primary, voters sometimes turn out to show support. They may face opponents in November.
