A burglar broke into the convenience store and made off with a stash of lottery tickets, according to the Maplewood Police Department. In the early morning hours of Aug. 3, someone  reported seeing a man exiting a broken window of the store and entering a van parked in the lot next to the store. The store is at 745 Prospect St. just south of Springfield Avenue. According to Sgt. Christopher Black, a similar burglary took place in Union Township one hour before, and police have identified possible suspects. Sgt. Black said the police are reviewing surveillance video. The burglary is under investigation.
