The Denco Gas Station on Springfield Avenue at the corner of Laurel Avenue (across from Dunkin Donuts) will open today, Saturday Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. for gas, according to Mayor Vic DeLuca. Cars with odd-numbered plates ONLY are allowed to fill up today, according to the gas rationing system. Those with gas canisters also are allowed. "Police will monitor traffic and watch the line of cars," said DeLuca. "We expect hundreds."  The station is on the corner of Springfield, Laurel and Millburn Avenues.
