How Much Snow And Rain For Maplewood Saturday And Monday?

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Amid reports of a major snowstorm coming to other parts of the country, the NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for western Essex County towns from 6 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday.

However, Maplewood may only get up to an inch of snow.

The forecast for towns closer to the Caldwells calls for 2-4 inches on Friday night and up to an inch on Saturday morning.

For Maplewood, the NWS expects:

Friday Night: Rain before 3 a.m., then rain and snow between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., then snow after
4 a.m. Low around 34. Southeast wind 8 to 14 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday: Snow before 10 a.m., then rain likely between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. High near 43. Wind
chill values between 20 and 30. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
