Nightly Closures for Exit 145 on Garden State Parkway

A major exit off the Garden State Parkway will be closed  through Friday for road repairs and resurfacing.

The Parkway's southbound Exit 145, which connects to Interstate 280 and major exits in Newark, will be closed each night from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., the City of Newark and New Jersey Turnpike Authority announced.

In order to access I-280, motorists will be detoured at exit 144 through Irvington, East Orange and Newark to access the highway. Drivers should allow for extra time.
