President's Day/Winter Break: What's Open and Closed

The President's Day holiday is on Monday, Feb. 18.

• Both state and federal offices are closed.

• Banks and public schools have the option to close.

• Post offices will be closed; there will be no regular mail delivery.

• Financial and stock markets are closed.

New Jersey Transit will operate on an enhanced weekend rail schedule. For details, check the agency’s website at www.njtransit.com, or call (973) 275-5555. PATH trains will be operating on a Saturday schedule.

South Orange - Maplewood schools are closed on Friday, Feb. 15 and Monday, Feb. 18. School is back in session on Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Maplewood municipal offices are also closed on Monday, as well as both branches of the Maplewood Memorial Library. 

Stuck without something for the kids to do? Consider the Vacation Camp at the YMCA. Friday is Beach Day and Monday is Camping Day; 7:15 am to 7 pm; $70 per child for members, $85 for non-members. Call (973) 762-4145.
