Snow's In The Forecast For Maplewood
Maplewood and the rest of Essex County may get a snow accumulation late Monday night, the NWS says. See when how much you'll get.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — In a surprise after a nearly snowless winter in New Jersey, snow has crept into the forecast for the Essex County area, according to the National Weather Service.
In the area, snow will likely begin late Monday some time after 1 p.m., with a wind chill between 20 and 30 degrees, the NWS says. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, but there won't be much accumulation yet during the afternoon.
The bigger snowfall is expected between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., with an accumulation of 2-4 inches near Maplewood and as much as 3-5 inches near Essex County airport and the Caldwells.

The snow will then change to rain and continue through Tuesday morning, the NWS says.
Less of an accumulation is expected for east and south of the area.
