Storm Forces Postponement Of Maplewood Group's Outdoor Arts Event
The event, in which local artists paint scenes in the park in Maplewood while onlookers observe and enjoy the day, has a new date.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Due to a predicted rainstorm through late Saturday night, a planned event from the Maplewood Memorial Park Conservancy, Painters in the Park, has been rescheduled.
The new date is Saturday, May 14 (rain date Sunday, May 15), 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The description is, "Join the Maplewood Memorial Park Conservancy for a day of painting 'en plein air!' Memorial Park will be resplendent with spring colors, and the public is welcome to take a peek while local artists set up their easels and interpret what they see."

The Conservancy also has other events coming up soon, such as the unveiling of the Flagpole Hill entryway triangle, and the celebration of the 200th birthday of Frederick Law Olmsted, father of the Olmsted Brothers, one of the park’s designers.
