Watoto Children's Choir at Morrow Church Sunday

This should lift some hurricane-weary spirits!

From Morrow Memorial Methodist Church:

The Watoto Children’s Choir will once again return to Morrow Church for a concert on Sunday, November 4 at 6:00pm, bringing their vibrant African music and dance routines and life-transforming stories about their lives.

The choir tour entitled “Beautiful Africa: A New Generation” is an energetic fusion of contemporary gospel and traditional African rhythms. The concert aims to share a message of transformation by telling the story of Africa’s rescued orphans and women.

The globally acclaimed Watoto Children’s Choir has traveled internationally since 1994 as ambassadors for the millions of children in Africa, orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS, war and poverty. Each of the children in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both parents. They live in Watoto Children’s Villages where they receive the care and nurture they need to grow up as productive citizens of their country.

Through their inspirational songs and compelling stories, the concerts raise awareness about the orphan crisis in Uganda and inform people of Watoto Child Care Ministries' vital work in providing physical, emotional, educational and spiritual care to more than over 1500 parentless children.
