Will Maplewood Get Snow This Week? See Local Forecast

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Weather forecasters are predicting the first widespread snow of the winter season in New Jersey this week, with some ugliness potentially headed Maplewood's way.

The Maplewood area may see rain and/or snow on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). There is a wind advisory in effect from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Here is the local weather forecast for Maplewood this week, according to the NWS:

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. South wind around 9 mph.

Wednesday Night: A chance of snow before midnight, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 37. Southwest wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday: A chance of rain showers before 10am, then a slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 40. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 35. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 24.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
