5K, Parade, Fishing Derby: Spring & Summer Events In Colts Neck

COLTS NECK, NJ — Although the winter season has arrived (and cold weather has come with it), there are plenty of fun events planned for Colts Neck residents to look forward to this spring and summer.

From 5K races to parades to a fishing derby, there’s no shortage of activities planned for residents in the coming months.

Easter Egg Hunt
At 9:30 a.m. on April 12, kids 3-12 years old will be able to participate in the town’s Easter Egg Hunt and get a visit from the Easter Bunny at Colts Neck Firehouse #1.

Farmhouse 5K
Join Colts Neck on May 18 for a fun walk or run around Town Hall Park at 8 a.m.

Memorial Day Parade
Starting at 10:30 a.m. on May 26, the town will host a Memorial Day Parade that begins with a ceremony at Memorial Park. Following the ceremony, there will be light food and drinks for attendees at Colts Neck Firehouse #2 and a bicycle contest that starts at 10 a.m.

Kids Fishing Derby
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on June 15, all kids are welcome to join the town Fishing Derby at Bucks Mill Park. Participants should bring their own rods, and bait will be provided. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of categories.

Sounds of Summer Concert Series
On select Tuesday nights at Town Hall, you can bring a chair, snacks and more to enjoy a variety of music outside during the summer. Concerts start at 7 p.m.

Recreation Kids Summer Camp
For those in grades K-8, you can enjoy Colts Neck Recreation’s Kids Summer Camp from June 30 through August 7. Camp is 9 a.m. to 2p.m. Monday through Friday, and attendees will be able to enjoy a summer of activities, trips and more with friends.

Registration and trip information to be announced. No camp on July 4.

Independence Day Celebration
From 6-10 p.m. on July 3, you can enjoy an evening of celebration at Bucks Mill Park. The night will conclude with music and fireworks sponsored by the Colts Neck Business Association.

National Night Out
Join Colts Neck Township Police on August 5th for a community event from 5-8 p.m. The event will take place at Bucks Mill Park and is hosted by the Colts Neck PBA and Prevention Alliance.

In addition and in partnership with other in-town organizations, Colts Neck will also have sports clinics and camps, the town-annual Polo Event, a Kentucky Derby Party, a 9/11 Memorial Service, a Veterans Day event, Campout and Movie Night in the Park and more.
