Andy Kim Telephone Town Hall Is Thursday; Serves Marlboro Area
Rep. Andy Kim, NJ-3rd District, with an office in Freehold, will discuss Washington "dysfunction," Inflation Reduction Act and more.

MARLBORO, NJ — Issues such as a potential government shutdown, federal tax rebates and - most likely - the attacks on Israel will be aired when Rep. Andy Kim (NJ-3rd District) holds a town hall for constituents this Thursday.
The town hall is Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. and will be a telephone town hall, Kim's spokesman said. You can sign up for Kim’s telephone town hall or tune into the event live at kim.house.gov/live.
Kim also made a statement Saturday on X about the violence in Israel: "The images and videos of attacks terrorizing civilians in Israel are horrifying. This violence must be condemned, and it will only inflame the tensions and cause much more blood to be shed. With the attacks continuing and reports of hostage taking, we call out for the immediate safety and security of those in harm's way," the statement said.

Kim will discuss the dysfunction in Washington "caused by extreme Republican members of Congress," his work to try and find a solution to keep government open and working for people, and why he voted to remove Speaker Kevin McCarthy from his position in the House, his spokesman said.
Kim will be joined by League of Conservation Voters Executive Director Ed Potosnak to discuss the Inflation Reduction Act’s tax rebates and how they can help people save money, his office said.
New Jersey’s Third Congressional District encompasses nearly all of Burlington County and represents parts of Mercer and Monmouth counties, including Allentown, Englishtown, Freehold Borough, part of Freehold Township, Holmdel, Manalapan, Marlboro, Millstone, Roosevelt and Upper Freehold.
