In a statement posted on Saturday, Tobia condemned the anonymous letters sent to Fitzpatrick, labeling the attempts to intimidate and threaten her as “beyond unacceptable.”

He went on to say that these attempts must be called out and that threats have “no place in any campaign. Not now. Not ever.”

“Let’s be clear: no matter how angry we are, or how passionate we get about our beliefs and perspectives, threats and intimidation have no place in our community,” Tobia said. “We must draw that line and stand together to make sure it’s never crossed. Not now. Not ever.”
