A JCP&L spokesman said the township had multiple broken utility poles. One outage had three poles connected to it, said Chris Hoenig. But he said the utility hopes a majority of the outages will be restored by Monday night.
It is important for residents to report their outages to 888LIGHTSS to receive the expected restoration times for your address, the town said.

The JCP&L outage map also showed scattered outages in Holmdel and Hazlet, with Marlboro, Freehold and Howell hit hardest, JCP&L said. Spokesman Hoenig said there were 11,000 customers without power in the entire county as of Monday morning. That number has now reduced to about 6,744, according to an online utility update.
