The Freehold Family YMCA is offering kids and teens ages 3 to 15 the chance to explore, learn, and have fun this summer at its adventure-filled day camp programs.

Starting Feb. 3, the Y will begin accepting registrations for its preschool summer camp program for kids ages 3-5, June 23-August 22, and summer program for youth and teens 6-15 years old, June 23-August 28.

The camps offer an enriching summer of swimming, sports, games and more to local preschoolers, youth and teens. Campers 6 to 15 can look forward to weekly themes such as Space Odyssey and Color Wars, while kids 6-12 can try sports and specialty camps including archery, soccer, flag football, basketball, baseball, Science and Nature and Chemical Curiosities.

To accommodate busy families, before and after care will be available, and for families in need, the Y provides financial assistance on a sliding scale as part of its charitable mission.

"Y camps are designed to nurture the potential of every child, helping them learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment," said YMCA of Greater Monmouth County President and CEO Laurie Goganzer. "From making new friends to learning new skills, every day at YMCA camp is a new opportunity for discovery.”

In keeping with the YMCA’s commitment to safety and excellence, the Freehold Y summer camps and all YMCA of Greater Monmouth County day camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and hold a Praesidium accreditation, meeting the highest industry standards for child abuse prevention.
