Election Day In Marlboro: When, Where to Vote

MARLBORO, NJ — The general election is Tuesday and Marlboro residents will be able to cast their votes on several state and local races.

Polls will be open between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. You can find your closest location here.

This year voters had more ways and more days to vote in person than ever, according to Monmouth County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon. Earlier this year, a new state law was passed mandating the option of in-person early voting in New Jersey.

• Election date: Nov. 2

What And Who Are On The Ballot?

• Governor's race: Gov. Murphy is running for reelection this year against Republican Jack Ciattarelli, Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party), Gregg Mele (Libertarian) and Joanne Kuniansky (Socialist Workers Party).
• State Senate: In-district 13, Republican incumbent Declan O'Scanlon Jr. will be challenged by Democrat Vincent Solomeno for State Senate.
• General Assembly: Democrats Allison Friedman and Erin Howard are running against Republicans Gerard Scharfenberger and Victoria Flynn for the two General Assembly seats.
• Township Council: Republicans Antoinette Dinuzzo, Michael Milman and Juned Qaziwill run against incumbent Democrats Jeff Cantor, Scott Metzger and Carol Mazzola for three township council seats.
• School Board: A total of eight candidates will run for the three open seats on the Marlboro Township Board of Education. Here is a list of their names: Aldo Patruno,Angelo Del Giudice, Paul Ferland, Sean McCauley, Elizabeth Sugarman Lawrence, Kathleen Amster, Valentina Mendez and Christina Russotto. Additionally, Debra Venedam and Jessica Piernik competing for the one two year unexpired term.
• Local Referendum: Voters will be asked to approve a $14.46 million bond for roofing and pavement improvements in schools within the Freehold Regional High School District. The Board of Education launched a website to explain what's at stake.
• State Constitutional Questions: Voters will be asked to approve a constitutional amendment to permit wagering on all college sport or athletic activities and a constitutional amendment to allow certain organizations authorized to conduct games of chance to use proceeds from those games to support the organization.
• Board of County Commissioners: Incumbent Republican Susan Kiley and Democrat Michael Beson are running for an open seat.

Where and how to vote:

• In-person on election day: Polls will be open on Nov. 2 between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. See where you can cast your vote here. Voters who registered for vote-by-mail will not be able to cast their ballots in person. To check your voter registration status go to Vote.NJ.Gov and click on the "Am I Registered?" tab.
• Mail-in ballot: A vote-by-mail drop box has been set up at the Marlboro Municipal Parking lot, located at 1979 Township Drive, and a total of 35 drop boxes are available in Monmouth county. All locations are open 24 hours a day and until 8 p.m. on election day unless noted.
• In-person early voting: In-person early voting was available in 10 polling locations in Monmouth County between Oct. 23 and 31.
