Extreme Weather Hits Morganville Quickly, Filmed by Resident

One Morganville resident filmed what she believes is a mini-tornado. (Caution: there is one curse word in this video).

Catherine Ann Howley said she thinks a mini-tornado hit her Morganville neighborhood on Wednesday, with winds spiraling all around her home.

The storm-chaser in Howley caused her to flip the camera on, although at one point the storm picked up so much Howley quickly went back inside.

"The storm was coming from the west (left) and you can see everything was spiraling around and coming from the east and then it passed over us," Howley said.

Extreme weather has been touching on Monmouth County all week, with a week-long heatwave and nightly thunderstorms. Storms that develop Thursday could cause flash flooding in some areas of the county, and the pattern will repeat on Friday.

"A friend off of Tennent had everythign tossed around in there yard and I heard there were trees down on Lloyd Rd. Also heard the storm had 'some' rotation and there was hail in the area," Howley said.
