Fire Rips Through Monmouth County Barn
The fire broke out at a barn located on Willowbrook Road on Monday afternoon, Colts Neck Police Lt. Brian Caswell said.
COLTS NECK, NJ — A barn on Willowbrook Road was destroyed after a fire broke out Monday afternoon, Colts Neck Police Lt. Brian Caswell told Patch.
The fire was reported at 1:02 p.m. to Colts Neck Police and quickly engulfed the barn, Caswell said, leaving it destroyed and no longer standing.
Emergency services responded quickly to the fire, but despite their efforts, police said the barn was beyond saving.

Emergency services were cleared from the scene around 6:30 p.m., and Willowbrook Road was reopened to the public after being closed between Route 34 and Cross Road.
The barn was vacant at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, Caswell said.

"Thank you to all the emergency services who assisted in a safe and efficient operation," Colts Neck Police said.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Caswell said.
