Guzzo's Cafe Brings A Family Tradition To Marlboro

MARLBORO, NJ — Guzzo's Cafe on Route 79 is the newest option for daytime dining in the area.

The cafe specializes in baked goods, such as breads and baguettes and pastries made on site. And it serves breakfast and lunch, so customers can enjoy all these items right in the cafe, says owner Anthony Guzzo.

The menu indicates lots of choices for breakfast and all types of lunch sandwiches and paninis.

And Guzzo said the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends - either in person or from your laptop.

The cafe is newly renovated and is in Morganville Square.

Opened in August, the cafe is a family effort, owned by Anthony and Debra Guzzo, joined by sons Nicholas as the baker and Anthony Jr. who also prepares menu items, as well as daughter Alyssa who helps with hiring and schedules, Debra Guzzo said.

"Everyone has a piece of it!" she added.

The Guzzo family is from Brooklyn and Guzzo and his brother and other family members have been in the bakery business for 47 years, and stretches back to his grandfather and father, Guzzo said. His brother owns a business in northern New Jersey.

The cafe is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and opens 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
