Harbor Road In Marlboro Reopens, Power Restored
Update: Harbor Road in Marlboro reopened at 3:30 a.m. Thursday after a tractor-trailer became ensnared in Verizon wires Wednesday afternoon.

MARLBORO, NJ — Harbor Road was reopened at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, police report, after an accident 12 hours earlier shut down the road and disrupted power in the area.
At about 3 p.m. Wednesday, a tractor-trailer became caught in Verizon cable lines, taking down a pole and wires, police said.
The road between Route 79 and Tennent Road was closed, but was able to be reopened at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Capt. Stephen Levy of Marlboro police confirmed.

JCP&L spokesman Chris Hoenig said Thursday that power, which had been lost to at least 55 customers, was also restored.
The driver was unhurt in the accident, but remained in the truck until JCP&L could cut power and he could be safely removed, according to a township post Wednesday on the accident.

Hoenig said the tractor trailer "snagged Verizon cables, breaking a pole." Power lines then came down with the pole, he said.
