Burglary Attempt Leads To Arrest In Marlboro: Police
The incident occurred Thursday evening on Heron Drive, Marlboro Police said.
MARLBORO, NJ — A man was arrested following a burglary attempt on Thursday night, Marlboro Police Captain Stephen Levy said.
Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Marlboro Police received a 911 call from a Heron Drive homeowner who told police that someone had broken into her house.
Following the call, Marlboro Police responded to the home, where police said Ptlm. Ryan Anzalone and Ptlm. Adam Forgac heard rustling coming from the backyard.

The officers went to the back of the property and found Terry Pena-Diaz, of Jackson Heights, NY, trying to run away, police said. Both officers quickly caught him and arrested him.
Pena-Diaz was later charged with burglary to a residence, possession of burglar’s tools and resisting arrest by flight, according to police.

He was processed and brought to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution without incident.
