Lloyd Road In Marlboro Partially Closed For Water Utility Project

Police suggest avoiding the Lloyd Road area Wednesday and possibly Thursday, as a Marlboro Township water main project continues.

MARLBORO, NJ — Lloyd Road will be closed between Nolan Road and the Marlboro Memorial Middle School entrance from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and possibly Thursday for a continuation of a water main project, police say.

The school entrance is accessible.

The project is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, but may require Thursday, May 18, police say.

The Marlboro Township Water Utility Division will be performing improvements to the water distribution system, the township explains.

A project began April 5 to replace the water main along Lloyd Road between Route 79 and the Aberdeen border.

The project generally consists of full water main replacement, including valves and fire hydrants. The overall project is expected to be completed in approximately 120 days, the township says.

Police are on site and detours and signage are in place. Police recommend avoiding the area.
