New Pediatric Dentistry Set To Open In Marlboro
Polished Pediatric Dentistry is scheduled to open this fall.
MARLBORO, NJ — Dr. Dinah Jammal didn’t think she would ever start a business of her own.
Jammal completed dental school at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and worked in other dental offices over the years. But after giving birth to her first child early last year, she got the desire to start her own practice.
“I thought that I was never going to do the whole ownership thing,” Jammal said. “And I had him [her child] and I don’t know – I just got this sort of spark to just do it, and go for it, and pursue it.”

Minimally invasive techniques, pain-free injections, an infant room, special-needs care and a Board Certified Anesthesiologist are just a few things that Jammal said make Polished unique.
“My goal is that parents enjoy coming to see me,” Jammal said. “Because we are going to be a very parent-friendly office, and we want everyone to equally have what I’m trying to tagline as ‘an incredible, polished experience from start to finish.’”
In addition to Polished’s more unique offerings, Jammal said the business will also have run-of-the-mill dentistry, including white fillings, traditional crowns and wet crowns.
When it came to selecting a location for her new practice, Jammal said the Marlboro area was ideal for both the business and her family.
“The amazing school system, the community that’s here — it’s kind of incredible,” Jammal said. “When the demographic report came back as an ideal spot to open, all of the puzzle pieces kind of fit together, and I was like ‘you know what? This is going to be good for us.’”
As Jammal continues to prepare for Polished’s opening this fall, she said transparency is one of her main goals for the business framework.
“One of the hardest things that I have encountered from other offices that I’ve worked in is that transparency isn’t always where it should be,” Jammal said. “Oftentimes, dentistry gets a bad rap where things aren’t explained properly.”
At Polished, Jammal wants to ensure that her dentists are connecting with patients and families about goals for their child.
“We’re going to have a little bit of longer appointments,” Jammal said. “We’re going to take our time. We’re not going to rush anybody.”
More than anything, Jammal said she wants to build her practice alongside the Marlboro community and grow both personally and professionally from the experience.
“There’s so many things I’m excited to implement,” Jammal said. “The best part is now having the freedom to daydream. A big thing I’m getting more excited about now is the community, and how we can give back.”
“I just can’t wait,” Jammal said.
