According to Levy, various items were removed from the units, including two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, mountain bicycles and power tools. Police determined that the break-in had occurred overnight between the hours of 12:50–2 a.m.

Through a police investigation (with assistance from the Brick Township Police Department), Levy said Orler was identified as a suspect and charged with burglary, criminal mischief (disorderly persons), fourth-degree criminal mischief, motor vehicle theft, theft (disorderly persons), fourth-degree theft, and third-degree theft.

Detective Matthew Nelson is handling the investigation for the Marlboro Township Police Department, Levy said.

On Friday, Orler was ordered to be held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River during a detention hearing before Superior Court Judge Pamela Snyder.

During that hearing, Assistant Prosecutor Isabella Young said Orler was facing over 90 charges, with many of them relating to burglaries of storage units at Cube Smart off Route 70 in Brick.

In Howell, Orler has been linked to burglaries at various local businesses and has been linked to burglaries at Manchester locations.

During Friday’s detention hearing, Young said Orler has a lengthy criminal history. While she did not detail past convictions during the hearing, court records show multiple guilty pleas in commercial burglaries dating back at least 20 years.

Orler’s next court appearance is set for June 30 before Superior Court Judge Dina Vicari.
