Marlboro Drive-Thru Nativity Will Feature Live Animals, Carolers
The event will be Saturday and Sunday and will also feature period-costume Roman soldiers and in-vehicle audio narration.

MARLBORO, NJ — After coming up with a drive-through nativity last year as a response to COVID-19, Monmouth Worship Center (MWC) in Marlboro will once again host the event this year.
"We want to join with many others in the community to meet the challenge of the pandemic and the need for safety while also celebrating the Christmas season of love and hope,” said Founding Pastor Ken Jasko. “We hope you will share this unique and inspirational experience."
Last year over 500 cars drove through MWC's nativity in just two nights. This year organizers promise the event will be even bigger.

There will be a total of eight "elaborate" scenes, featuring live animals, a large overhead Star of Bethlehem, in-vehicle audio narration, and dozens of live actors in period costume.
A variety of animals will participate, including alpacas, chickens, sheep, goats, zebus and a donkey.

There will also be period-costume Roman soldiers, carolers singing seasonal favorites and a glowing 6 by 4 feet Bible replica.
Over 120 volunteers have worked since September to help put everything together.

The drive-through takes 15 minutes.
The event is free to attend. However, the church is accepting contributions and non-perishable food donations for its community food pantry. Everyone who attends will get a candy cane.
