Marlboro Hosting 9/11 Ceremony Saturday Morning

MARLBORO, NJ — For the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the Marlboro Township is holding its annual ceremony at 8:30 a.m, on Saturday at the memorial located off Wyncrest Drive, which is accessible from the Recreation Center parking lot.

The Marlboro High School orchestra and chorus will play during the event.

Present at the ceremony will be family members of those who lost their lives that day, members of the Township Council, clergy, police, fire and first aid, CERT, Veteran and Volunteers committee and community leaders.

In the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the township rededicated the Sept. 11 memorial and was able to secure a 12-foot steel I –beam from the World Trade Center.
