Marlboro Man Recorded Victims, Including Teen, In Bathroom: Prosecutor

The man reportedly hid a cell phone in a laundry basket facing the toilet and shower to record those using the bathroom, authorities said.

WARREN, NJ - A Monmouth County man was charged this week after he allegedly recorded several individuals, including a minor, using the bathroom, authorities said.

Macarius Salib, 32, of Marlboro, was charged with manufacturing child pornography and endangering the welfare of a child, as well as three counts of invasion of privacy, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a statement.

Salib reportedly hid a cell phone in a laundry basket facing the toilet and shower to record those using the bathroom, Pfeiffer said, adding that he also used a second cell phone to access the recordings and save the videos.

Authorities became aware of the incidents after an adult family friend reported that she was recorded while in the restroom of her home, Pfeiffer said.

An analysis of Salib’s phones found recordings of an adult second victim, and a third victim who was 16 years old at the time, featuring both victims with their “intimate parts” exposed in the restroom, Pfeiffer said.
