Marlboro School District Receives Bomb Threat 2nd Day In A Row

Marlboro schools are on a two-hour delay Friday morning after a new threat came in. The Trenton BOE also received a bomb threat Friday:

MARLBORO, NJ — Marlboro schools opened with a two-hour delay Friday after the school district received another bomb threat, for the second day in a row.

All Marlboro schools and town hall were closed all day Thursday after the district received multiple bomb threats over email. Now, it happened again Friday morning. Again, the bomb threat came in over email.

"Marlboro PD has been made aware of a bomb threat to the Marlboro schools via an email. Law enforcement personnel will be conducting checks at each location. The source of the threat is currently being investigated. Marlboro K-8 schools are an a 2-hour delayed schedule," said Marlboro Police on their Facebook account Friday morning.

Also on Friday morning, the Trenton Board of Education building received a bomb threat and administrative offices were evacuated. Trenton Police are currently on the scene doing a sweep with bomb-detection dogs.

On Thursday, bomb threats were sent via email to the Marlboro school district and the mayor's office, and specifically mentioned Marlboro Memorial Middle School and the Board of Education buildings, Mayor Jon Hornik said in this letter to residents. The email said there were explosives placed in the board of education building and at Memorial Middle School, News 12 reported.

Marlboro Police called Thursday's round of bomb threats "low risk and low credibility."

Marlboro is a Kindergarten-8th grade district.
