Marlboro Superintendent Search Yields 14 Applications So Far
The search firm is holding a special meeting in executive session with the BOE on Feb. 16 at 8:30 a.m.

The Superintendent search continues for the Marlboro K-8 District, after Dr. David Abbott announced his retirement this year.
Business Administrator Cindy Barr-Rague said the hired search firm has received 14 completed applications for the job, which include a letter of interest, the application, a resume and four letters of reference.
Eight applications for the Superintendent position have been started, but not completed, Barr-Rague said at a Jan. 15 board meeting.

Nine of the completed applications are from New Jersey, while others span from California, Illinois, Connecticut, Missouri and Texas.
"Of the applicants, a number are sitting Superintendents," Barr-Rague said.

The search firm has moved from openly advertising the position to running specific recruitment efforts.
