What drove you to seek public office?
I’ve lived in Marlboro since I was eight years old, and this community has given me so much throughout my life. I decided to seek public office because I want to give back and help ensure Marlboro continues to be the premier town it has always been.
With my background in business and accounting, I believe I can bring valuable experience and a practical perspective to the position — helping to manage our resources responsibly and make decisions that keep our town strong for future generations.
What sets you apart from the other candidates?
As the owner of Ace Home Improvements and a lifelong Marlboro resident for over 40 years, I know this town inside and out — its streets, neighborhoods, and the people who make it such a great place to live.
Since 2000, I’ve had the privilege of working directly with Marlboro residents to improve and renovate their homes, which has given me a deep understanding of our community’s needs and values. In addition, my background in accounting and business provides me with the financial insight necessary to help maintain a balanced, responsible budget that makes sense for our residents.
What are past accomplishments or experiences that make you qualified for this position?
After graduating from the University of Maryland in 1995, I earned my CPA and worked in New York City for five years in the accounting field. This experience gave me a strong foundation in finance, budgeting, and responsible fiscal management.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey, where I’ve been a member since 2009 and had the honor of serving as Chairman of the Board. This role has strengthened my commitment to transparency, ethics, and accountability in business.
In addition, I’ve been an active member of LeTip of Freehold — the largest LeTip networking group in the country — for over 15 years. Through this group, I’ve built strong relationships with local businesses and currently serve on the Ethics Committee.
Having lived and worked in Marlboro for most of my life, I have a deep understanding of our community and the people who call it home. I believe this combination of professional experience, ethical leadership, and local involvement uniquely qualifies me to serve effectively in this position.
If elected, what will be your top priorities in your new role?
If elected, my top priorities will focus on maintaining Marlboro’s strong quality of life, fiscal responsibility, and community growth. I want to ensure that our town continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
First, I will work to keep Marlboro financially sound by promoting responsible budgeting and smart spending that protects taxpayer dollars. With my background in business and accounting, I understand the importance of balancing efficiency with quality services.
Second, I will prioritize supporting our local neighborhoods and businesses. As both a resident and business owner, I know how important it is to maintain safe streets, invest in infrastructure, and encourage a thriving local economy.
Finally, I am committed to keeping open communication with residents — listening to concerns, being transparent about decisions, and ensuring that every voice in Marlboro is heard.
Name one thing about Marlboro that always makes you smile.
What always makes me smile is running into old friends I grew up with here in Marlboro — many of whom, like me, chose to move back and raise their families in the same town we loved as kids. It really shows what a special place Marlboro is when so many people want to return and continue being part of this community.
