Marlboro Township Public Schools Seek To Fill School Board Vacancy
The candidate chosen to fill the vacancy will serve a one-year term starting in February, district officials said.

MARLBORO, NJ — The Marlboro Township Public School District is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education, the district recently announced.
The appointment to fill the vacancy will be for a one-year term, with the appointee serving from Feb. 3, 2026, through the board’s reorganization meeting in January 2027.
It’s anticipated that the chosen candidate will be appointed at the board’s workshop meeting on Feb. 3, 2026, district officials said.

In accordance with state law, those interested in assuming the duties of a Board of Education member should have the following qualifications:
- Be able to read and write.
- Hold citizenship and one year's residence in the school district.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the board.
- Not hold office as mayor or member of the governing body of the same district.
- Be registered to vote in the district and not be disqualified as a voter under N.J.S.A. 19:4-1 and not convicted of any crime/offense set forth in N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1.
Interested residents can apply for this role by submitting both a letter of interest and an accompanying personal résume to be received on or before 12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26.

Application materials received after 12 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, will not be considered, officials said. All necessary documents should be delivered/addressed to:

During their workshop meeting on Feb. 3, the board will conduct interviews in public session. Candidates will be contacted prior to the meeting to further discuss the process.
