Malvern School Coming to Marlboro, Opening This Fall

The new school will open on Main Street this fall.

A new early education option will be open for area parents this fall, as the Malvern School makes Marlboro its newest home.

The school, celebrating 15 years in business, has 21 locations including 4 in New Jersey. Its Main Street location will open in Marlboro this fall.

"We're very excited about moving into a new area. We think we will be able to meet a need for a high quality education," said Diane Morgan, Director of Operations.

The private school focuses on smaller class sizes for infants through pre-k, advancing state curriculum standards. Morgan said the school focuses on developmental areas targeted to age groups, including cognitive and behavioral skills.

A typical day at the school includes socializing with children and adults from other classrooms in what Morgan said were specialty rooms. For younger children, it's the Fascination Station. Older children enjoy the Discovery Room.

Specialty rooms allow children to enjoy activities in larger groups which encourage cooperation and decision skills, using technology and imagination to enhance the curriculum.

"It always helps to have new and different things to play with," Morgan said. "The children have to have fun, we're all about making sure they are laughing and enjoying each other."

Morgan said the school seeks highly certified teachers, and most everyone at the school must have education training at the college level.

The Malvern School is considered one of the top private pre-schools in the nation and has programs geared towards infants, toddlers, and students in pre-school and pre-k. In addition to its programs, the Malvern School is the only school to work with former First Lady, Barbara Bush’s story time.

While the building isn't fully ready yet, parents can learn more about the program at the Malvern School website and by calling 877-MALVERN. Tours can be scheduled once an opening date is set.

Tuition varies based on the program parents choose, and Morgan said the school remains competitive with high-end schools in the area.

"We are an excellent provider of our programming and curriculum, and we price our program accordingly. We are certainly competitive with other high end schools in the area."
