Mayor Engel: JCP&L Says 1,000 Back to Power by End of Saturday
Restoring high-voltage lines is nearing completion.

Mayor Jarrett Engel said at least 1,000 Colts Neck residents should be up and running by the end of Saturday.
Engel said JCP&L's larger projects, restoring high-voltage lines and substations, is almost complete, which should get the majority of those without power a light at the end of the tunnel.
As of noon on Saturday, 2,965 Colts Neck residents are without power according to the JCP&L outage map.

"I share in your frustration living in a cold uninhabitable home without water. I have spoken to and have alerted all legislators up to the level of the White House on our frustration and anger with JCP&L on the failure of their grid," Engel said. "We have expressed this outrage at all levels of JCP&L. I am so proud of the efforts of my fellow committeemen, our chief of police, officers, administration, first responders and volunteers who have done a tremendous job before, during and after this terrible storm."
The Comfort Stations will still have the following: showers (you must bring your own towels and toiletries), Non-Drinking Water to use in toilets at home (you must bring your own container), and power to charge your cell phones.

Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice.
Non-drinkable water will be available 24 hours a day in the Town Hall parking lot at Firehouse 2 lower parking lot, residents must bring their own containers.
Water is available for horse owners at Fire House 2 on Conover Road in the lower parking lot.
Engel said election day will remain as planned, thus far.
"Over these past few difficult days I have had the opportunity to speak to and meet with many of you," Engel said. "Your personal stories have been inspiring and motivating. We are a strong, resilient town that will fight through this as a community."
Engel and the Township Committee will be answering phones at Town Hall through the weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (732) 780-7323
